For a fifth year, the beneficiary of our annual fundraising effort is our own Twirl Assistance Program (TAP), which provides direct aid to LGBTQ adults in the Charlotte metro area in need of mental healthcare, food assistance, medical care, transportation, and financial literacy.
Making an Impact in the Charlotte LGBTQ Community
For the sixth year in a row, Twirl to the World Foundation has received the Platinum Transparency seal, the highest level possible from Candid (formerly GuideStar). The leading watchdog group for community organizations, Candid provides the public with financial, tax and other key organizational data. The info is gathered from both the actual Forms 990 filed with the IRS as well as the nonprofits themselves. Here at Twirl to the World, we take our fiduciary responsibilities and pledge for transparency extremely seriously. You can always feel good about supporting our charitable efforts.
